How can we help?
Answers to the common questions, and how to reach us.
Questions
Open Dawn Doc and choose Help › Enter Licence… (or Settings › Licence). Paste the licence key from your email and choose Activate. One key works on up to 3 of your computers, on any mix of systems.
Yes. On that computer, Settings › Licence shows a request code. On any device with a browser, open dawndoc.com/activate, enter your key and the code, and download the licence file.
Back on the offline computer, choose Import licence file… in Settings › Licence, or paste the file's text.
On the old computer, choose Deactivate this device in Settings › Licence. If you can't reach it any more, sign in on your account page and remove it there (up to 3 removals in 30 days). Then activate on the new computer.
Sign in on your account page with the email address you bought with, and choose Email me new keys. The new keys replace the old ones, which stop activating new computers; computers already activated keep working.
Every feature is free for 30 days from the first time you open Dawn Doc on a computer, with no account and no card. The trial is counted on that computer; nothing about it is sent anywhere.
Dawn Doc becomes read-only: you can still open, view, search, copy and print your documents and change its settings, but not edit, save, create or export them. Your files are never locked or changed. Add a licence and everything comes back, along with any drafts left on that computer.
Yes: within 30 days of buying, no questions asked. See the refund policy. A refund ends the licence.
Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it lists a chip (M1 or later), download the Apple silicon version; if it lists an Intel processor, the Intel one.
